Introduction to the Theory of the Formation of the Islamic Revolution

According to the position and importance of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and also its effects on the internal and international world, lots of scholars have theorized about the reasons of this phenomenon’s formation; in addition, numerous resources in this field have been compiled. Some writers and thinkers have classified various theories associated with the Islamic Revolution. This paper seeks to explain the different formations related to development of Iran's Islamic Revolution which includes theories of thinkers like Morteza Motahari: class, liberal and Islamic formation with two meaning spiritual and real. Sadegh Zibakalam: conspiracy, modernization, economy, religion and dictatorship as reasons of revolution. Another thinker, Humira Moshirzadeh: cultural, economic sociological, psychological, political and multifactorial backgrounds of revolution.  John Foran: cultural, economic, political and structural inequalities, political and resource mobilization and several other reasons. Finally, Mustafa Malakoutian: considers cultural, economic, sociological, psychological, political, multifactorial and … factors behind Islamic revolution of Iran.
