Islam as the most complete religion has focused on every aspects of human's life and has considered whatever is needed to flourish physical and spiritual capacities related to human beings; food and nutrition in Quran is an instance. There is a close and mutual relationship between some one's body and soul; as a result, nourishment is an effective factor in ethical behaviors. Showing gratitude toward the beneficent who gives food, avoiding waste of food materials, observing moderation, eating pure or halal foods and avoiding impure or haram foods are some ethical considerations in Islam. Those factors affect not only physical, but also moral well being of man. This result is accepted by ethics and medical science. Thus, if using foods and beverages are for thanking Allah and doing right actions, it would have positive ethical value; as a result, it would bring perfection for human beings. Otherwise, using foods without any attention to Allah can have destructive effects on morality.
