Cultural Role of Imam Ali (AS) after the Death of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

The culture is an issue that covers all aspects of human life and plays a substantial role in determining the fate and education of the people in the community. Thus, this paper tries to explain the role of Imam Ali (AS) as a significant character and the Imam of the Islamic society to transcend Islamic culture. Self-creation, humanization, and community constructing are three important areas of Imam Ali’s (AS) activities in the cultivation of culture, which has been discussed in this article. The present paper, based on historical and narrative sources, shows that Imam Ali (AS), after the death of the Prophet (PBUH), was practicing through all individual and social behavers, and he always tried to put transcendental goals in action in different situations and events to preserve Islamic cultural values.
