The Role and Coordination of the Qur’an and Ahlul-Bayt (AS) in the Interpretation of the Qur’an
Fatemeh Saremi
BA Student of Islamic Teachings in Ma’aref University.
Abstract:   (2 Views)
The Holy Qur'an and Ahlul-Bayt (AS) are in fact one single essence in two forms of creation and codification. These two have been introduced as ways of human salvation according to the Prophet (AS). This harmony happens as a result of  the Ahlul-Bayt’s (AS) unique role as interpreters of the Qur’an or those consistent in Knowledge; and for completion of this coordination the last savior must emerge. This coordination shows itself in: the similarity of the Night of Decree (Qadr Night) with the fifteenth Night of Shaw’baan. Shaaban, uniqueness of Thaqalayn, calling the Qur’an ‘Zikr’ (remembering God) and mentioning the Prophet’s family as an example of it, the fact that Thaqalayn have perfection characteristics such as compassion, mentioning the Qur’an and the family of the Prophet as Akbar (bigger)and Asghar (smaller) Thiql (gravity) of the Quran and the family’s role in protecting the Qur’an in the interpretation, and implementation of rules and commandments,…. There are different view points about credibility and authority of Sunnat in the interpretation of the Qur’an the best of which considers the Qur’an as axis and the Tradition as the center. According to this view, authority of the Qur’an is inherent and the authority of Tradition is along with it. The Qur’aniun led by Subhi Mansur ignore the teaching role of the Sunnat in the interpretation, unaware that relying only on the Qur’an rejects the Thaqalayn Hadith and as a result leads to the rejection of the Qur'an. Their thinking reflects the extremist Sunni view in accepting narrations of Sohhah Setter (the six correctors) as true.

Keywords: The Qur’an and the family of the Prophet, coordination of Thaqalayn, authority of the Tradition, interpretation hadiths.
